YES. It is a cult. Even devotees will admit but are quick to say “cult” isn't negative. People posting here saying “millions of people benefit from Isha”?…where's the PROOF of that? The same person will say that anyone speaking out against Ishe is “Only a handful”. Again…where's the proof of that? they are making bold claims without any evidence. And instead, make the typical argument that brainwashed zombies make…that anyone speaking out against someihting must simply be a “'Hater.’ That is an Ad Hominum attack. Which is what people do who can't make a logical argument with proof and facts… they simply make personal attacks or name-call.
There is PLENTY of online forums, webites, comments, blogs etc where people shared their person, NEGATIVE experiences with Isha. And plenty of Isha devotees have lashed out at them making nasty comments…quick to attack the person for daring to speak out against their master. This is typical of brainwashed cult followers.
Go to an Isha meeting and you will see people claim they have achieved “Peace” when standing in the line at the grocery store. Two weeks later, the same person will claim the exact same thing. Meaning.there is no actual benefits happening that can be measured or are long-lasting. People claiming they have been cured of physical ailments…well, again…wheres the proof? As a medical professional, I've seen people get better from their symptoms a thousand times from doing absolutely nothing. Because the BODY HEALS ITSELF whether you do yoga or not. To claim it's the yoga healing someone is just an ignorant claim. Just a bit of life awareness will tell you that.
As far as Jaggi Vasudev…do some research. Plenty of information online, including an actual news article from India about his wife dying. His claim that she died by achieving “Maha Samadhi” is just idiotic. There has NEVER been any documented proof that a person could achieve death by willing. Never mind a YOUNG and HEALTHY woman who had only stared meditating after meeting Jaggi and marrying him. So she became so enlightened after a few years of practicing that she was able to achieve the highest form of spiritual enlightenment and left this world of her own free will? Right.
Sad that so many Isha devotees never question this obvious bs story. Instead, they attack anyone else who does question it.
The rest of the wife’s death story…Jaggi had her body cremated only a day later which is against every Indian custom. No autopsy was allowed or performed. Maggie was questioned by authorities but he was able to skirt the system. India is rife with political corruption and scandal. But the story did make it into the news and the article is online.
people…do your research. The man is a scam artist. He buys himself helicopters, BMW motorcycles, fast cars and young women. While he demands his devotees go without dinner every Wednesday evening as part of his fundraising tools.

I still have many, many doubts on Sadhguru's GENUINITY
For me a person sitting in bathroom, walking on road, watching tv can become suddenly spiritual without his own willing, acceptance, effort or knowledge.

Forget Dhynalinga, any idol consecrated as per certain Temple ARCHITECTURE, (eg: Agama Shastra, there are ways to build temple) has powers.
You just need receptivity to feel it.
I am an young guy, married, goto work, party, fight, argue, watch movies, eat out but i have been also able feel, physically feel reverberations when i goto temples. Not all temples i feel, never been to Dhyanalinga till date. But i feel it in Tirupati, Mahakal, Abhaya Hasta Venkateswara temple, i feel the same vibrations in also few small temples near my home. Just some random PLACES also one can clearly feel the vibrations.
As a proof if i am hallucinating, i asked my wife after hesitation of 4 years. She too confirms she can but she too thought it would be foolish if she asked me.
She works in a IT firm and is like any modern women, very clear pragmatic about current world & reality.
Few of my neighbours, an old lady my neighbour aunty and uncle, & a man of 40 years and his father too acknowledge what i say, when i discussed it with them.
They too can feel energies present in a temple. Infact temple i speak is in a slum area, next to a storm water drainage, highly populated by Christians.
No special seeking or sadhana done by us. We are people like you working in govt, MNCs etc.
So may be dhyanalinga could be fake but deities, lingas, idols, temples are PLACES with POWERS. I was never a seeker consciously, but today i can sense, every time i am in presence of certain energy bodies, my spine shakes, body vibrates, the ecstasy is out of world. It sounds as if i am on drugs or mindwashed. But no, you are on other side of bridge, i am on this side of bridge.

Vivekananda Mahasamadhi
On 4 July 1902, At 7:00 p.m. Vivekananda went to his room, asking not to be disturbed; he died at 9:20 p.m. while meditating. According to his disciples, Vivekananda attained mahasamΔdhi; the rupture of a blood vessel in his brain was reported as a possible cause of death. His disciples believed that the rupture was due to his brahmarandhra (an opening in the crown of his head) being pierced when he attained mahasamΔdhi. Vivekananda fulfilled his prophecy that he would not live forty years.

Sri Sadasiva Brahmendra attained Maha Samaadhi on the Vaisakha Sukla Dasami with Makha star in the year 1755 A.D. Before his Samadhi,he mentioned that a Bilva tree would come over his Samadhi. He also mentioned that after 10 days, someone would bring a Shiva Linga and it has to be installed at a particular distance from his samadhi. Needless to say, it happened the same way.
Paramahansa Yogananda Mahasamadhi
On 7 March 1952, he attended a dinner at the Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles. At the conclusion of the banquet, Yogananda ended his speech, he lifted his eyes to the Kutastha center (the Ajna Chakra), and his body slumped to the floor.” Followers say that he entered mahasamadhi. The official cause of death was heart failure.

He had cancer but no pain.
Sunday, August 15, 1886. At two minutes past one there was a low sound in his throat and he fell a little to one side. A thrill passed over his body. His hair stood on end. His eyes became fixed on the tip of his nose. His face was lighted with a smile. The final ecstasy began. It was mahasamadhi, total absorption, from which his mind never returned.
Nirmalanda Mahasamadhi - death 1996
He decided to shed his body in the month of January in ’96, and announced that he would attain Mahasamadhi. But there was a big ruckus all around. The rationalist society of Karnataka filed a case against him saying that this man is going to commit suicide, so they put two constables in the ashram.
When the time to leave came for him, he sat outside on a small deck. About forty people were sitting in his ashram including the two constables. He sat in front of them and just left his body.
Exact Details may be exaggerated & post mortem will give you the medical diagnosis reason why they died. But its not impossible. FACT, these people left their body@ will. You can do it as well, ha..ha..else u can just ignore.. yup it's a joke...ur right.

And then people ultimately feel that WHY not find easy way and that is BUY these Costly Stones. I knew one of my very close relative who did this blunder.
The logic given by Jaggi is ABSURD, Very cleverly he built the Idol of SHIVA. WHat he said in interview to Kangana was that Shiva was existenet 60-70 Thousand Years back and Some non-sense story citing some books and people beliefs. How can Jaggi followers be such a non-sense and don't question "what the hell is He telling", This is called BLIND BHAKHATs.
